Start with the task.
Logging a train sighting, mixing a stream and checking a server need different tools. Each project is built around its own job.
Use native applications.
PhantomRail and Phantom Control are being developed for iPhone, Phantom Studio for Windows, and the railway diagram tools for macOS.
Check the whole setup.
A capture needs to reach the right output. A server command needs to reach the right machine. Testing has to cover those connections.
Publish what is ready.
